  • Artist Brooke Andrews is one of are few artists who create pins and each includes a story card making them very special. Read on about Brooke’s very particular process… each piece begins with a vision, spontaneously toying with her imagination, until it feels “ripened.” Then she sketches the image directly onto porcelain clay, using techniques in the tradition of bas relief carving. The final design rises out of the porcelain “canvas” after many hours of coaxing, gently carving away the layers of “negative space” – what the design is not. Once the design is developed, the original piece is bisque fired. Clay hand press molds are created from the “mother piece,” and kiln fired. The “children” or actual product pieces are hand pressed into the molds using white or color-stained porcelain clay, then bisque fired. Next, color stains are applied, dried, and wiped down to reveal the detail of the relief carving. Underglazes provide highlights. The second kiln firing fixes this layer of color. Finally, an over glaze, containing 11% gold by weight, is carefully painted around the edge to frame each piece and to accent designs such as the Fireflies and Iris. The third and final firing brings the images to life, wonderful art to wear!
  • Michael is inspired by the colors of the waters of Cape Cod, the Sea Bubble Collection infuses images of sea bubbles, flowing into waves of cobalt blue and emerald green color to capture the spirit of the ocean in glass. "I was able to integrate the cobalt blue and emerald green into the bubble technique that I learned in Japan," says Michael who operates the studio with his wife Keiko. "I like to use a lot of bubbles... it makes each piece exclusive and more alive. You see something new every time." Each piece is hand blown and unique in design, color and size.

SINCERELY STICKS is created by pulling a high resolution photograph of the image from a handmade original. An in house ink printing process brings the image onto a wooden structure. It is finished with several coats of the same polyurethane that is used on an original. The end result has visible paint strokes and wood grain, a work of art to be treasured for years sure to become a family heirloom.
  • Anita Tosten's framed trees are 100% fashioned from post consumer paper and fabric. As she says; "From Trash to Treasure". Post consumer materials remind us of life's value, regardless of size and form. Living tree images float in rough-cut recycled lumber frames on backgrounds of blue, ivory, natural and copper shades. Trees are pruned by sun, water, wind, and humans. Yet, they continue to emit oxygen reminding us that each living thing has worth regardless of how life has shaped it. Our lives prune us, and these trees and post consumer materials express how we may continue to share our value with others.
  • Clocks from recycled vinyl records and CD's. Painted using traditional marbling, spray, and brush techniques. Marbling involves manipulating paint that is floated on a sizing medium, and transferring that pattern to a surface. Each clock is unique, and produced in the USA, in Deborah's Sheperdstown, West Virginia studio.
  • Cheerful, colorful and inspirational, each blown glass hummingbird is one of a kind, no two are alike. Hang in a window and watch the beautiful colors come to life. Story card included...“In the face of a forest fire, all the animals stood and watched helplessly. Only the small hummingbird took action, taking a few drops of water in his beak, flying over and dropping them onto the flames repeatedly. When they asked what he hoped to accomplish with such a small gesture, the Hummingbird replied: ‘I am doing my share.’”. Hang it in a window and watch the beautiful colors come to life.
