  • Zetamari Mosaic Artworks are handcrafted in Seattle, Washington. Artist Angie begins by shaping each mirror base from birch with standard shop tools. Then, she precisely shapes and sets each piece using traditional mosaic techniques. Once the setting is complete, she grouts using colored cement giving the piece a unified and finished look. Angie finds the creation of each piece a meditative and cathartic way of working with her hands. She takes pride in the work that she does and hopes to educate the public about this ancient art form and to increase public appreciation for hand-crafted artwork. She also hopes to bring the joy of spirit she feels during the creation of each piece to the home of others.

  • Kim has always loved to draw so the fine detailing required in carving was just right for him. He has been a full time scrimshaw artist for 40 years. Once he purchases fossils from the Native American Indians in Alaska, he works around cracks, fissures and chunks of bark as he slices, polishes and engraves them. Thus a fossilized mastodon or mammoth develops a story of its own---designed and carved by Kim and reproduced by his wife, Katherine in a sculptural casting resin base. Kim creates a wide variety of designs including trees, nature, wildlife, women/fairies, nautical, Judaica, celestial...and the list goes on! Each engraving is also available as a standalone jewelry piece. Engravings are available as wearables, money clips and as framed and matted images.
  • Tom’s inspirations include: organic shapes in the New England countryside, the ocean in its fluid changing forms, and the music and dance that fill his life outside the jewelry studio and reminds him of the proportion, balance, movement and grace he strives for in his jewelry designs. His design process incorporates a lifelong exploration of linear forms in space, and attention to the interplay of aesthetics and the fabrication process (if it’s too complicated to make, it’s probably not a good design!).
  • Three Crow Glass is an artisanal glass studio located in the heart of the Old Quebec. The studio is owned, managed and operated by Christina Mayr and Jeff Ferrier; two glassblowers with over 20 years of experience in the craft. Despite its current location and visibility, Three Crow Glass had its inception in an unlikely place. In 2002, Jeff and Christina opened their first mutual glass blowing studio in the town of Saint-Ignace-du-Lac. A place known for two things: being isolated and historically flooded. The couple worked relentlessly. Every day, three crows, perched on the closest branch, would observe their toil with a sarcastic detachment. Before long, the glassblowers decided that one day, those three idlers would work for them. It took 8 years of labour for the young enterprise to finally move out of seclusion to Saint Charles close to Quebec City. Simultaneously, Jeff and Christina were able to open a boutique in the Old Quebec to sell their works in retail for the first time. The boutique grew for 6 years in the Petit Champlain district before moving right next to City Hall in 2016. Today, Three Crow Glass is a must-see feature of the historic center of Quebec City. Visitors are invited to witness how Jeff and Christina create glass art following traditional methods. Every day, they are helped by talented assistants and a friendly sales staff in the transmission of their passion for glass craft.

Another favorite from Tempest is their Angel Bell necklace……. The fact that silver plated flatware is no longer produced in the USA results in an artistic,  wearable piece of history! • St Clair Designs is a small company located in Woodland Park, CO (West of Colorado Springs).  All of their beautiful bags are made by the owner, Megan, and a handful of home sewers in her little mountain town. The endless variety of fabrics, incorporating vast amounts of different patterns, colors, and textures all pieced together with an artistic eye, is what sets St Clair Designs’ products apart. Megan finds her fabrics from a variety of different places, including online companies, retail fabric stores (when they have good sales) and from several interior design manufactures who send along their “left-overs”. The more different incorporated into a pattern the better! Each pattern goes through a process of “testing” during the design process, to include alterations like adding a pocket here or there, changing a regular strap to an adjustable one, and so on.  Each design is also given a name, often named after the woman who inspired the design, or after an important person in Megan’s life!

  • BRING A LITTLE BIT OF NATURE INDOORS Oh, if this stone could talk... "I was born from magma in the center of the world, millions of years ago. I've traveled thousands of miles through the shifting earth to what would become New England. I've been deep underground, deep underwater, and high on a hill. I've been splintered by glaciers, baked in the sun, and rolled and dashed relentlessly by the mighty Atlantic. My epic journey ended when I was carefully chosen from gazillions of neighbors based on my coloring and shape, for an inventive role in your home. Life is easier now, and sweet... So when you touch me, I will touch you back and tell you my story." Special thanks to the sea stone artists for sharing this marvelous story!
