Jewelry

Jewelry, well chosen, can set the tone…from business meeting to social event. Jewelry is to an outfit like the last brush stroke of a painting. Wear it and your spirits soar…happiness, confidence, appreciation or maybe a fond memory of receiving it as a gift. A piece that has been hand crafted is worthy of being passed on and becomes a very special heirloom.

Artisan’s ever changing selection showcases as many as 75 American craftsmen. The jewelers who create for our collection fabricate in a vast assortment of materials, sterling silver, 14KT gold, brass, copper, clay, pewter and glass. Many pieces result from very unique techniques including patinas and casting. Creativity flows with the addition of semi precious stones, crystal, glass, beads of all kind, buttons, fabric and unusual adornments. Every finished piece is a work of art telling its own story.

  • Left Hand Studios, located in Colorado boasts three distinct collections of handcrafted women's jewelry. They have been in business since 1995 and their jewelry was conceived to provide women with stylish, affordable and comfortable earrings and necklaces. Each piece is made in the USA using only top quality, American materials. They take great care to ensure that their in-house production methods and materials are as non-toxic and environmentally friendly as possible. A favorite at Artisan’s is the Adajio collection inspired by a diversity of imagery from ancient art of the Americas to contemporary African, Asian and European motifs. Color and texture infuse each design in the collection with a unique visual appeal. Earrings are crafted with metal, glass and crystal beads, then completed with gold-filled or sterling ear wires.  The resulting jewelry is not only unique and colorful, but also lightweight and comfortable to wear.
  • Ann Carol’s jewelry designs are exciting and artistic. Ann continually explores and pushes the boundaries of metal and resin. Using sterling silver as a canvas, the resins are hand painted and then allowed to delicately air dry. Meticulous care is taken to ensure that every detail is special and something to be treasured. Some pieces take many cycles to fuse the colors into an intricately beautiful piece of wearable art.
  • Anna Balkan grew up in the Ukraine, where the culture was grey and resourcefulness was a necessity. "I've never had any preconceived notions of which colors go together. Because I lived in a world that was so drab, I thought all color was beautiful." Anna immigrated to the US as a political refugee in 1992 at the age of 20, alone, unable to speak the language, and with barely enough money to survive. Over a period of time, Anna's trust in herself and her tenacity enabled her to pursue her dream. Today, Anna Balkan Jewelry is a successful, growing business dedicated to the unique woman. At the heart of Anna’s jewelry is her wish for you to be beautiful and be you. When you find that right color combination of gems and metal that goes well with your complexion, it will go great with everything in your wardrobe simply because you are the common denominator. Each piece of Anna’s jewelry is a reminder to celebrate life and its beautiful moments. Let the power of color illuminate the power of you.
  • Anne Koplik’s jewelry collections are proudly designed and handcrafted in their Brewster, NY studio. • Founded in 2006, Anne Vaughan Designs was created so Anne could find a way to work while doing her first job – being a mom. Created in the basement of a tiny brick ranch home, Anne began creating one piece of jewelry a day as a side hustle after the birth of her son, Gabe. Soon her husband Aaron was creating displays and traveling with her to shows and teaching himself print and web marketing at night in order to help her.  As her collection grew she embraced the idea of layering. Her necklaces are stunning as one and become dramatic statements telling a story when worn in layers. Anne’s choice of materials and her expertise with color make her a stand out in the American handmade jewelry arena. Tens of thousands of pieces of distinct jewelry later (all handcrafted in her Virginia studio) and dozens of retail locations across the United States, Anne continues to design each individual item with a talented team of makers supporting her work.
  • The Austin Design company is a group of artisans that craft each and every piece by hand. They pride themselves not only in their original designs but also in the quality and workmanship that goes into every piece. They blend the colors and elements to create a feeling of the ocean. The sea-style glass used in the jewelry is primarily recycled glass, created from broken bottles, stained glass remnants, and beads. This colorful glass is broken, formed and finished in their studio, then tumbled with genuine beach sand, gravel, and salt water to replicate the roll of ocean waves. The resulting sand-etched finish turns these pieces into modern sea jewels, resembling the natural beach glass found along the shore. The matte finish and beachy colors combine in a peaceful way mimicking the peace found when sitting or walking any shoreline.
  • Torn between his passion for both art and business, David left his hospitality financial consulting career to travel the world to write, paint, and contemplate his future. After three years of adventures around the globe, he ended up in the East Village of New York City in 1991. Determined to pursue a more creative path, he purchased a small bag of beads from an African bead store and taught himself how to make earrings. The business grew as David drove throughout New York and New England selling his creations store-to-store. His travels eventually led him to the Mad River Valley in Vermont where he decided to relocate. Today, the Baked Beads company continues to grow by offering clean, colorful jewelry, scarves, and other accessories emphasizing style and moderate price points.  Most importantly, David, his wife Robin and their amazing crew are having as much fun making jewelry today as they were 25 years ago.

  • Kathy Bransfield began her craft in Cincinnati. At a young age she traveled the country honing her skills and selling her wares. She now resides in sun soaked California and continues to be inspired by life’s complex beauty and all its diversity. Kathy is delighted to be able to share history’s most brilliant visionaries with you giving each piece a distinct meaning. Meticulously crafted in her sterling silver and 22k gold, she cleverly uses the two tones and creates a piece that opens to the very special messages. We love that the on looker knows there is something written inside and the wearer can choose to share it or keep it as their own personal inspiration. Each finished piece embodies the essence Kathy’s unfaltering cheerful spirit. Wear these words close to your heart.
  • Artist Brooke Andrews is one of are few artists who create pins and each includes a story card making them very special. Read on about Brooke’s very particular process… each piece begins with a vision, spontaneously toying with her imagination, until it feels “ripened.” Then she sketches the image directly onto porcelain clay, using techniques in the tradition of bas relief carving. The final design rises out of the porcelain “canvas” after many hours of coaxing, gently carving away the layers of “negative space” – what the design is not. Once the design is developed, the original piece is bisque fired. Clay hand press molds are created from the “mother piece,” and kiln fired. The “children” or actual product pieces are hand pressed into the molds using white or color-stained porcelain clay, then bisque fired. Next, color stains are applied, dried, and wiped down to reveal the detail of the relief carving. Underglazes provide highlights. The second kiln firing fixes this layer of color. Finally, an over glaze, containing 11% gold by weight, is carefully painted around the edge to frame each piece and to accent designs such as the Fireflies and Iris. The third and final firing brings the images to life, wonderful art to wear!
  • Carolyn creates beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces in sterling silver. Carolyn is one of a few artists who creates with real found seaglass. Heightened environmental awareness has made it much more difficult to find real natural beachglass. Wear a piece of history... perhaps it's a discarded bottle from recent decades- or could it be a lost relic, centuries old? Tumbled by waves and transformed by sand... nature gives us back "beachglass" - unexpected and beautiful.
  • Each unique cork bracelet is designed by artist Anya Byam and handcrafted in her Vermont studio using eco-friendly Portuguese cork. The cork is a sustainable material commonly referred to as a vegan leather alternative. Popular themed accent charms combine with wonderful color choices, comfortable and easy to wear with a magnetic clasp. Anya has been inspired to create her whole life and continues to find joy in creating new designs.
  • Clara Beau takes inspiration from vintage collections to create modern accessories with a classic feel. Clara Beau’s pieces are brass or sterling silver plated brass accented with Austrian crystals, fresh water pearls and bohemian glass beads. Each piece is completed with an antique finish.
  • Crazyartgirl Jewelry is a small family run company currently located in Alden, NY.  Artist Kristine Lewis’s design shines in the “Embraceling”. Silver plated tubing hides the magic of the stainless steel memory coil which allows the bracelet to retain its shape. Add beads, semi-precious stones, pearls, glass or shell and the result is fabulous art to wear.
  • Julie has been creating dichroic, glass jewelry for over 20 years. She inherited the love of glass from her mother.  Julie began her glass career by selling her jewelry at shows, home parties, and then to stores and galleries. Then, in 2001, the glass jewelry became her full time business. She loves creating one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. She also applies decals to the glass for a variety of patterns. Julie is thrilled to be able to focus on the craft that she loves, and to have a home business.
